As the spring semester kicks off, the pressure of exams, assignments, and final theses can quickly pile up.
"It’s completely normal for students to feel more stressed during this time, but learning how to manage that stress is key to success," says Erzsébet Szaniszló, our Student Wellbeing coordinator.
To help everyone stay balanced, the International Office’s StudentHelp service organized a special Stress Management Workshop on January 29th. Led by psychologist Karolina Jankóné Komornoki, the session helped students understand what stress is and, more importantly, how to handle it in everyday life.
The workshop was not just about theory, it was very practical! Participants learned several techniques for long-term relaxation. A highlight of the event was when one of our international students, Alfredo Salazar from Peru, demonstrated some highly effective breathing exercises to help with focus and calm.
After the training, the afternoon continued with a great community vibe. Students stayed to relax and chat, enjoying board games and music together. It was the perfect way to turn a learning experience into a fun social event.
At the University of Sopron, we truly care about our students' mental health. The mission of our StudentHelp service is simple: to support your wellbeing and help you navigate the challenges of student life.
